Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Flexmix — the app I created and publish, including its Apple Watch app — handles your information. I'm Justin Yu, an independent developer. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

Summary

Flexmix does not collect, transmit, or share your personal data with us or anyone else. Your settings and workout history are stored on your device and — if you're signed in to iCloud — sync privately through your own iCloud account so they're available on your other Apple devices. The Apple Watch app reads your heart rate and active energy during a workout and saves your completed workouts to Apple's Health app; this health data stays on your device within Apple Health and is never sent to us. We never receive or have access to any of this information.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personally identifiable information from you. The App does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or any other identifying information.

Information Stored on Your Device

To make the App work, Flexmix saves a small amount of preference data using Apple's standard storage systems (UserDefaults, SwiftData, and — when enabled — iCloud). This may include:

• Your selected workout schedule
• Your preferred number of exercises per session
• Your current tier selection (Core or Boost)
• Your workout progress and completion history
• Calories you log for a workout session
• Your logged heavy and light maxes, with their dated history

We do not have access to this information. It is stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud account (see iCloud Sync below). If you delete the App, the on-device copy is removed with it.

iCloud Sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, Flexmix uses Apple's iCloud (Key-Value storage) to keep the preferences listed above in sync across the Apple devices that use your Apple ID. This information is stored in your private iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We operate no servers of our own and cannot see or access any of it. iCloud sync is optional — you can turn it off at any time in iOS Settings by tapping your name, then iCloud, and you can remove the synced data from the same iCloud settings.

Apple Watch & Health Data (HealthKit)

Flexmix includes an Apple Watch app that can track a live workout. To do this, and only while you have a workout, it asks your permission to work with Apple's Health app (HealthKit):

• Reads your heart rate and active energy burned so the watch can show them live and log the calories for a session.
• Saves your completed workouts to the Health app, so they appear alongside your other activity in Apple Health.

This health and fitness data is stored by Apple in the Health app on your device. Flexmix reads these values only on your device to power the workout screen — it is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and we operate no servers that could receive it. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or data mining, and we never sell it or share it with anyone. You control this access at any time in the Health app (Sharing → Apps) or in the Watch app on your iPhone, and you can revoke it whenever you like. Health data written to Apple Health is governed by Apple's privacy protections and is not included in the iCloud Key-Value sync described above.

Network Usage

Other than Apple's built-in iCloud sync described above, the App does not connect to any servers. We operate no servers of our own, and the App sends no analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, or any other data over the internet.

Third-Party Services

Flexmix does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Children's Privacy

Because we do not collect any personal information, the App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction).

Your Rights

Because we do not collect or have access to your data, there is nothing on our side for you to access, correct, or delete. You can remove your information at any time by deleting the App from your device and clearing its data from your iCloud storage settings.

Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
